Have you tried another USB cable? Sometimes a broken USB cable is the issue. Both should work, but eliminating USB 3 and USB hubs can help us isolate the problem for this USB 2 device. If your computer has both the older USB 2.0 ports and USB 3.0 ports (blue interior) plug it into the USB 2 port.Is the Type A USB 2.0 Male end of the USB cable plugged directly into your computer?.The newer Rev F6 board has the option to come with a full size USB Type B connector (like the ones on USB printers) that is fairly indestructible, unlike the Micro USB which can be easily damaged and may need replacement (just note that before you upgrade boards to the F6 that swapping out boards may require you to do soldering for pins like the ICPS that are no longer included). There are several different designs on Thingiverse. You may want to add a 3D printed USB cable support block to help take the weight of the cable off the USB connector. The design of the Micro USB connector is prone to failure. The reason why the USB cable feels like it is upside down is because the printrboard is mounted upside down for ease of access. The slightly smaller rounded side goes towards the Printrboard while the longer side with the 2 mini cut outs for the holding pin to help hold your cable are pointed towards you. This is a PAIN to do so look carefully while you have your Printrbot knocked over as you pull out and reinsert the Micro USB cable into the USB port on the Printrboard. Is the Micro USB cable fully inserted into your Printrbot? This is the USB cable next to the power plug.Verify that the Printrbot Play Printrboard Green light is on (good excuse to carefully knock the Printrbot over).Verify the Green Light on the Power Adapter Brick is on.This is the barrel plug found plugged onto the lower right hand side of your Printrbot. Is the Printrbot on? Sadly this isn't an on/off switch. This will save some head smacking later when you find the culprit! If it turns out to be something else please add it to the comments so others may benefit from your wisdom! I look forward to hearing from anyone on this issue.I would just print out this list and just put a checkmark next to each item as you confirm that you've already tried this. Now, if I can only figure out what's going on with all the other versions of Cura that won't work on my system. I continuously drug the sidebar down to be sure I saw the whole list, but THAT DID NOT DISPLAY THE LAST ITEM! I finally figured out I needed to drag the window bigger with the mouse (don't ask me what made me think of this) and BAM! there it WAS! When that window opens up, EXPAND THAT WINDOW! (drag in bigger with the mouse) My window showed all the printers in the list EXCEPT the last one in the list, because the window was not big enough. Go to Settings/Printer/Add Printer (just like the instructions say) (Although not everyone will experience my issue I'm sure)Īfter installing all the extra files for the Mark II upgrade and re-loading Cura. I made a breakthrough that I thought I should share with everyone. I figured this was not compatible with 15.0.6 so I went back to version 2.3 So now the "view all versions" button works and I can try other versions.ĮDIT 2 - Version 2.6.2 did not work either.ĮDIT 4 - Version 2.3.0 WORKS Edited Septemby Guest Just not in Firefox which is my everyday browser. Is there somewhere I can download the older programs again, since they worked great for me? Thank you.ĮDIT - When I go to Ultimaker in Google Chrome (Which I have never done before) the links mentioned above are now active. I never had a problem with any other Cura programs. I have gone through and deleted all other Cura files before re-installing. I have deleted and re-installed the exe file. "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Once installed, I clicked to open and that's when I get the error Took about 15 to 20 minutes to download but did it without any problems. I deleted all the other Cura programs in my system and downloaded Cura 2.7 from the Ultimaker website. I just finished converting my printer to the dual Mark II setup and was going to update my Cura as well.
